Vegan (alt.food.vegan) This newsgroup exists to share ideas and issues of concern among vegans. We are always happy to share our recipes- perhaps especially with omnivores who are simply curious- or even better, accomodating a vegan guest for a meal!

Another site warning people about low carb diets: http://atkinsfacts.org/

I heard many of this Doctor's talks in person.

He has a book and video about low carb diets coming out in the winter.

He is very intelligent, very well versed in the literature, and an
excellent communicator.

He has the low carb snake oil salsemen so afraid that the Atkin's
corporation has already sent him threatening letters eventhough his book
hasn't hit the shelves yet.

As if the Atkins fans would be impressed by it. *sigh*

People have to make their own experiences and when some of these people
may develop colon cancer or get a stroke they will finally see that low
carb and animal protein stuffing is BS.
