Default Zip Fizz. Not so good for us.

Not sure how widely available this stuff is. It is made just up the street
from me. It's a powdered energy and vitamin drink that comes in tubes. You
put it in a bottle of water that you taken some out of. If you don't take a
little out you have a big mess. If you don't take enough out (like I did)
you still have a mess. The stuff fizzes as you put it in. No sugar in it.
We've gotten samples at Costco and it tastes good. I just bought a box
because they had a coupon for it at Costco.

Angela had a tube of it yesterday before dance class. Then I had a tube
when I got home from dropping her off yesterday.

Angela got to bed shortly after midnight. Then the whining began. "Mom! I
can't sleep! I'm not tired at ALL!" This generally only happens at the
start of the school year. And because she didn't do her homework in a
timely fashion over the weekend as I had instructed her to do, she wound up
staying up super late for several days so she could get it all done. So she
has been super sleepy all week.

I went to bed around 3:00 a.m. and was wide awake. I mean WIDE awake! Now
caffeine doesn't usually have this effect on me. But it sure did then.

Angela's alarm went off at 5:50. It's supposed to go off at 6:00. I don't
know how the time keeps going wrong. I just reset it the other day after
days of it going off at 5:30. She is hard enough to get out of bed. No
need for the alarm to be going off early!

I set three alarms all to start going off at 6:00. I remember several times
telling her to get up. She said she would.

The next thing I know I am startled awake with the feeling that it is later
than it should be. Sure enough, it is almost 8:00. I don't remember the
exact time I awoke but when I looked on the computer, the school was due to
start in 10 minutes. It takes a good 10 minutes at least to drive there.
And luck was not with us this morning. School buses broken down and stopped
all over the place. Crazy drivers. One person backed out of their driveway
and sat there, blocking my way. Eventually another car backed from the same
driveway and went on their merry way. The first car just pulled back in.
No turn signal. No lights. Gah!

The good thing is there is some kind of drama show for first period. The
bad thing is she will be late for it. I think the kids were already in the
gym or wherever it is being held. I didn't see anyone outside.

So now... What to do with the rest of the Zip Fizz? I don't think it's
safe for us to drink it. Says it wears off in 4 to 6 hours. 4 to 6 hours
my eye!
