Very little gets posted there anymore. I just get it because Curt, who runs
NewsReader.com, is such a mensch!

What do you have there on the plate?
Looks like salmon, hamachi and maguro, top to bottom.
Is that an Onigorishi you're drinking?

If that's salmon, what are those things that look like slices of cheddar
cheese between the slices?

My recollection is that they were salmon and two kinds of toro.

I'm an Otokoyama guy myself. Not because my yama is impressive, though.
I lived on Hokkaido near Sapporo (Chitose, actually) when I was an otoko
no ko and Otokoyama is a Sapporo sake.

Hokkaido is famous for many things beside your yama! Or did you mean your
yawa? ;-D Koi, too, if I remember right.

Anyhow, the label says Shizuoka Prefecture, near the Oi River. When I come
across a truly exceptional sake, I keep the empty bottle 'til I replace it.
I'm about due! Takezo-san?

There used to be an Internet Sushi Bar that you could order off the
A La Carte list and have your meal generator for you. Doubt its
still around though..

Ah so! I'm sure you're right.

I should have thought of that (but they still look like cheddar cheese to
me).

Nothing between them. Sliced cucumber between the tuna and daikon. A couple
of lumps of wasabi to the left.
