Default Fatal accident!

I accidentally killed my Bahrain starter I activated last Sunday.
I was using my oven as an incubator with its 25W bulb, but
someone turned it on and now my bowl of starter plus the sponge
I was preparing for today are charcoal.

After I ordered a new culture this morning, I discovered I had
left out a bowl with a sponge from the other day I thought had
failed (I had used some corn flour and I thought it killed it),
but while a bit dried out, it was definitely active so I am
trying to revive it. I only hope that the Lactobacillus has
survived intact, I won't know till tomorrow when I bake a test
loaf.

Since SI orders ship on Mondays, I hope I can change my order
to another variety if this one turns out okay. I'm not going
to cancel it because I ordered his book, but there's no point
in getting another packet of Bahrain if this one survived.

Howdy,

It is to avoid that sort of accident that many of us keep
half of our storage starter in the refrigerator, and work
with the other half...

All the best,

The socialist cause has entered the road of revival thanks to the
outstanding ideological and theoretical activities and revolutionary
practice of leader Kim Jong Il wrote:

Hi, Ed and Jean are really nice and very helpful. If you email them
they'll be happy to amend your order. I'm sure your Bahrain in the
cornflour will be fine. It's truly amazing how robust these organisms
are.

Cultures I didn't like were the New Zealand, the Tasmanian and the
Russian. They are all different but not so different that I'd get more
than a couple. The French and the San Franciscan are similar but the SF
is more distinctive. The two Italians are, not surprisingly, similar to
each other.

Good luck with them.

No TG did not write that. He only replied to someone using that as a
user name. I leave politics to politicians. Best to change the world by
starting at home in my view. Don't try to pave the world with leather.

I wrote it, I find North Korea and Kim Jong Il to be very amusing. I
rotate aliases regularly, usually staying within a theme for a month
or two. My current theme is DPRK propaganda slogans from KCNA, and
