True, I've seen some newbies ask questions and get patient replies, but the bar for what qualifies as nonsense is a lot lower here than it is in a lot of other sourdough and baking forums. I enjoy rec.food.sourdough a lot, probably in part *because* it's a cranky place, but I'd never recommend that a sourdough novice post to the newsgroup unless he or she has a high tolerance for abuse. -- Jeff Miller |
