New Tapas Joint in Olde City

---------------------------------------------------------------------------=
-----

Quote:

Jose Garces, outgoing chef at El Vez and Alma de Cuba, has settled on a
name for his Spanish tapas bar and restaurant: Amada, as in "loved
one."

It's due to open in September at 217 Chestnut St., in the space that
was Adriatica.

Garces, 33, is working on design with Jun Aizaki of the New York firm
Cr=E8me. (Aizaki used to work for the Rockwell Group, which designed
Alma de Cuba.) The two recently traveled to Spain to get ideas for
design, which will include an open kitchen, and a staging area for
flamenco performances.
