Grandma B's Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

3 c. flour
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sour milk
1/4 c. sour cream

Directions:

Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt together. Set aside. Cream
shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately
with sour milk and sour cream. Let batter set overnight in
refrigerator. Roll out 1/4-inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters and
place on cookie sheet. Bake at
350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Frost when cooled, if desired.
