BRUSCHETTA
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) DEL MONTE® Stewed Tomatoes, Italian Recipe 1 to 2 cloves garlic, crushed 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil or 1/2 tsp. dried basil 1/2 loaf baquette French bread, cut into 1/2-inch slices 1 Tbsp. olive oil Drain tomatoes reserving liquid. In small saucepan, boil reserved liquid with garlic, 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Chop tomatoes; combine with garlic mixture and basil. Brush bread with oil. Broil until golden. Top with tomato mixture; serve immediately. |
