Default Sweet Chocolate Fondue

I have not made this but it has been made for me..

Sweet Chocolate Fondue

6 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 cup light cream
11/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 dash salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon liqueur, such as amaretto, kirsch, brandy (optional)

Heat all ingredients except vanilla extract and liqueur in fondue pot on high,
stirring occasionally until chocolate is melted. Reduce heat to medium. Continue
cooking, stirring constantly for about five minutes or until thickened. Add vanilla
extract and mix well.
Reduce heat to low for serving. Dip cut up fruit and cubed angle cake and cubed
french bread or pretzels. Even try breadsticks.. they are great.
