Cheddar & Beer Cheesecake Fried Asparagus in Beer Batter White Beer Cheese Dip Beer Cheese Fondue Beef And Beer Source: A Taste of Eureka Hospital-ity Servings: 6 Categories: 5-10G Low Carb 2 lg onions Butter 3 lb round steak -- 1.5k cut in cubes 1/4 cup soy concentrate Salt and pepper -- to taste 3 cl garlic -- minced 1/2 cup beer Peel onions and slice. Melt 4 tablespoons butter. Add onions and cook until soft and lightly browned. Remove onions. Dust meat cubes with a little flour. Melt 4 tablespoons butter. Add meat and brown. Return onions to pan. Season with salt and pepper. Add garlic and beer. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer. Cover and cook about 1 1/4 hours or until meat is tender. Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 492 Calories; 27g Fat (51.7% calories from fat); 50g Protein; 8g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; 134mg Cholesterol; 116mg Sodium. Lightly butter the bottom only of a 9-inch spring form pan with removable side. In a medium-size bowl, combine the cookie crumbs, 2 tablespoons of the sugar, the ginger, and butter. Press firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Chill while making the filling. In a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed, beat both cheeses just until smooth. Gradually add the remaining 1 cup of sugar, beating just until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating just until each is combined. At low speed, beat in the beer and heavy cream. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden, but do not brown. Turn off the oven and place a wooden spoon in the door to hold it slightly ajar; let the cake sit in the oven for 30 minutes. Remove the cake to a wire rack and cool completely. Chill for several hours or overnight. Makes 16 servings. Add beer to dry ingredients, mixing slowly until thick enough to cling to asparagus. Cut asparagus into 2-inch pieces. Heat olive oil. Deep fry the coated asparagus in 2 inches of olive oil until golden brown, turning once. In a saucepan, stir together a small amount of beer and flour; once a paste has formed, stir in remaining beer and all other ingredients, except cheese. Over medium heat, heat mixture through. Slowly add cheese, stirring as you add it to the pan, until all cheese has melted. Transfer contents of pot to a fondue pot. Serve with French bread cubes to dip in cheese.
