Default Scotch Teas

Scotch Teas

1/2 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 cups quick oatmeal
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder

Combine margarine and sugar in a sauce pan. Cook and stir over low heat
until margarine melts. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients.
Mix well. Will be a very stiff hatter. Turn into a greased 8 inch square
pan and bake at 350 for 25 minutes, but no longer. Cool and cut into 24
bars.
