Trish Gibson Snacks & Savouries Preparation Time Less than 10 mins Cooking Time 10 to 30 mins ""These are very easy to make and, packed into jars, make a great present. Try to have a good mixture of nuts."" Trish Gibson 750g / 11/2 lb nuts (any mix of peanuts, cashews, almonds, brazils, hazelnuts etc - blanch or skin as appropriate and cut brazils into pieces) 1 heaped Tbsp garam masala 2 Tbsp oil - peanut oil is best sea salt Mix the garam masala and oil thoroughly with the nuts. Spread mix in a single layer on a baking sheet and sprinkle with fine sea salt. Preheat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4. Toast the nuts in the oven for 20 minutes, shaking them every so often so they colour evenly. Leave to cool and then store in airtight jars. -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at .
