Crock Pot Pork and Sauerkraut
Marguerite Cartwright, Pennsylvania This is delicious served with boiled red potatoes. Have worn out several crockpots in the last few years making things like this while I was still working 12 hour days. They are the best thing to come along since sliced bread! 6 pork chops 1 Tbsp olive oil 1 bag or lg. can sauerkraut rinsed and drained 1 16 oz can stewed tomatoes 1 20 oz jar applesauce 2 Tbsp horseradish 2 Tbsp brown sugar 1 med. onion chopped Brown chops in olive oil in fry pan. Mix sauerkraut, tomatoes, applesauce, horseradish, brown sugar and onion in crock pot. Place chops on top & push down into the mixture. Cook on low 6-8 hrs. or on high for 4 hrs. Serve with red potatoes boiled in their skins. So good to come home to after a long day at work. -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia D Hill at .
