Default Caramel Frosting

Requested: Caramel Butter Frosting or just plain caramel frosting

Caramel Frosting

3/4 cup butter (1 1/2 sticks)
1 1/2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
1/8 tsp salt
6 Tbsp milk
3 cups confectioners sugar

Melt butter in medium saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and salt; bring to a boil. Cook,
stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Remove from heat; carefully stir in milk ( mixture may
steam). Return to heat; bring to a full rolling boil. Remove from heat; cool to
lukewarm. Stir in confectioners sugar; beat until smooth and spreadable.
