>Since I am a diabetic, can I cut back on sugar and use

I would suggest you have your doctor send you to a Diabetes education program as soon as possible. Measure for measure, the concentrated orange juice will have just about as much carbohydrate as the sugar. Baby-back Ribs Dry Rub 8 Tbsps brown sugar or Splenda Brown Sugar substitute 3 Tbsps salt 1 Tbsp chili powder 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 1/2 tsp Bell's Poultry Seasoning 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp paprika In a bowl combine spices and mix well. Sprinkle the ribs generously with the rub. Pat the rub into the meat. Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour. Cook your usual method. I slow smoke mine on the grill with hickory or mesquite chips in the smoker box. Serve with your favorite barbeque sauce. The rub recipe makes enough for 5 or 6 slabs of ribs. I store it in a sealed jar. Janet Wilder -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at . Only recipes and recipe requests are accepted for posting.
