Quick Minute Rice Side Dishes (5) Collection
Garden Rice
Savory Rice Medley Cheesy Rice and Broccoli Cheesy Rice Asparagus Rice Pilaf Garden Rice 4 servings Minute Rice Chicken Broth 1/2 cup shredded carrot 1/2 cup shredded zucchini 1 tsp. bottled Garlic Prepare 4 servings Minute Rice using Chicken Broth in place of water. Stir in 1/2 cup each shredded carrot, zucchini and 1 tsp. bottled Garlic with the rice. Heat 3 minutes in micro-wave covered. Fluff with fork. Yield: 4 side servings Savory Rice Medley 2 cups Chicken Broth 1 cup uncooked Long Grain Rice 2 Green Onions, sliced 1 Carrot, thinly sliced 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil 1/2 tsp. Basil Leaves, crushed In saucepan, combine all ingredients, bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Yield: 4 side dish servings Cheesy Rice and Broccoli 1-1/2 cups frozen chopped Broccoli, thawed, drained 1 cup chicken broth 1-1/2 cups Minute Rice, uncooked 8oz. of chopped up Velveeta Cheese Bring 1-1/2 cups frozen chopped Broccoli, thawed, drained and 1 cup chicken broth to full boil in medium saucepan on medium high heat. Add 1-1/2 cups Minute Rice, uncooked. Stir, cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in 8oz. of chopped up Velveeta Cheese. Cover and let stand 5-10 minutes. Remove cover and stir until cheese is melted. Yield: 6 Servings Cheesy Rice 2 cups Chicken Broth 2 cups Minute Rice 8 slices American Cheese Bring 2 cups Chicken Broth to a boil. Then stir in 2 cups Minute Rice, cover and remove from heat. Let sit five minutes or until broth has been absorbed by rice. Add 8 slices of American Cheese, cover and let sit 5-10 minutes. Remove cover and stir to help cheese melt and blend with rice. Stir with fork to fluff. Yield: 4 side dish servings Asparagus Rice Pilaf 4 servings of Minute Rice Chicken Broth 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder 1 package (10oz.) frozen Asparagus cuts, thawed and drained 1/4 cup toasted slivered Almonds. Prepare 4 servings of Minute Rice using Chicken Broth instead of water, adding 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder. Stir in 1 package (10oz.) frozen Asparagus cuts, thawed and drained, to rice. Heat 3 minutes in micro-wave covered. Stir in 1/4 cup toasted slivered Almonds.
