Diane's N.C. Barbeque Sauce
Black Jack Barbecue Sauce
Barbecue Sauce
Sweet And Zesty Barbecue Sauce

All recipes I have collected and never tried.
Tim

Diane's N.C. Barbeque Sauce

2 qt Water
1 1/2 cup Brown sugar
1 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 cup Yellow mustard (French's)
1 qt Ketchup
1/2 cup Freshly cracked black peppe
1/2 cup Dry red pepper flakes
1 qt White wine (White Zinfandel)
3 qt Red wine vinegar
1 1/2 cup Salt

Add all ingredients together in a very large pot, bring to a boil, and
simmer for 30 min.

This recipe came from the Frugal Gourmet's T.V. show, but don't let
that turn you off! We've tried other recipes, but this is the one
that we like the best. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best
tasting BBQ sauce around. We've made 3 batches already, so this is a
tried recipe, rather than one we've only read about. It makes about 2
gal. We haven't tried any smaller batches since we use it a lot. We
keep the left over sauce in the refrigerator. You have enough sauce
for about 4 batches or approx. 60 lbs. It sounds like a lot, but if
you like BBQ, it goes quickly.

Black Jack Barbecue Sauce

1 cup strong black coffee
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup catsup
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped onions
1/4 cop minced hot chili peppers (your choice)
6 cloves garlic, minced

Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer 25 minutes. Strain
or puree in a blender or food processor, refrigerate between uses.
Makes five cups.

Sweet And Zesty Barbecue Sauce

1/2 cup of tomato ketchup
2 tbs. honey
2 tbs. apple cider vinegar
1 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. chilli powder

Combine ingredients and brush on meat. Be sure baste on regularly to
have plenty of sauce. I like lots. Double the recipe for more sauce.

Barbecue Sauce (enough for four chicken breasts and then some)

2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons brown mustard
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons chili powder*
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2/3 cup ketchup
1/3 cup vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar (tightly packed)
1/4 cup water

Mix all ingredients together with a whisk and then brush or dip the
meat in the sauce.

*I don't particularly like chili powder so I leave it out and there is
no difference in the taste.
