Default Rice Pudding

Grandma Peagrams Rice Pudding

4 cup Milk ; 2 %
1 tablespoon Butter
1/3 cup Rice ; short grain * OR arborio
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/4 cup Brown sugar ; packed
1 pinch Salt

In a large saucepan, heat milk over medium high heat til bubblesappear
around edge. Remove from heat. In a greased 8 cup baking dishpreferably
glass, combine milk, rice, sugar, butter, vanilla andsalt. Bake in 300 F
oven about 2 hours or until rice is just tenderand most of milk is absorbed,
stirring twice during first hour.I used long grain and it turned out fine=2E
