does anyone know of a good way to get the pickle smell out of the
pickle bucket? |

Stop by your local grocery, go to the bakery, ask them for empty icing buckets, free except for cleaning them out. You'll have better luck in a city than the country (greater demand for cakes and less demand for the buckets). The buckets are food grade, usually have resealable lids and come in about four different sizes. |

OR, try a diluted bleach solution in the stinky pickle bucket for a day or two |

hey, check out this site
http://www.survival-center.com/foodfaq/ it talks about pickle buckets specifically. I have had very good luck with soaking in baking soda then dilute bleach, a good rinse, then about a day in the sun to dry. BTW, I use the same treatment on ALL of the buckets I find, icing buckets, syrup.... Might as well be safe? |
