Default Preserving jalapeno peppers?

We cut ours in rings and bottle them. Just cut them up, pack a Mason
jar. Boil a 50/50 mix of white vinigar/water. Pour over peppers and
fill to the top. Cap and they can stay on the shelf until opened. Then
refrigerate after openning. Oh, and add a little salt to the
vinigar/water mix. Just a pinch.
