Default Half Gallon Jars

So. The commissary had a 6-bottle case of half gallon jars which use wide
mouth lids. They are new. They usually buy the Ball brand. The Ball site
recommends them for (non-food &) apple & grape juices and recommend "For
fresh preserving, follow a tested preserving recipe such as those found in
the Ball Blue BookŪ Guide to Preserving and BallŪ Complete Book of Home
Preserving."

I didn't research much further as we have talked this over before, but I
thought it was interesting that cases are now in the marketplace. And we've
thought they'd be just dandy for pickles. You know where my heart lies.

And praying to St. Sahara of Aridity for just a little less of the humidity.
Just a little less, mind you. I need some beef jerky time.
