Blue curacao syrup - HELP needed...
I have a bottle of blue curacao syrup. ANy suggestions how i can
prepare a regular blue curacao (alcoholic) from that? The lavel says mix 1:10 with water, but that makes it non-alcoholic. I heard blue curacao should be around 30% or 60proof. What alcohol can i add? can it be pure vodka or should it be pure spirit? What proportions? Thank's a lot in advance.. ALl the best M |

And even worse, it's a word problem. If you have 80 proof vodka and water, how much water do you add to your vodka to get 60 proof? Final proof = original proof * (original volume / final volume) So if you want to get 3/4 of the proof, your final volume should be 4/3 of your original vodka. So you should add 1/3 as much water as you did vodka. So for 3 cups vodka, add 1 cup water to get 60 proof. Treat your syrup as part of the water you need to add. So figure out how much water to add, put your syrup in a measuring cup, and add water to bring it to your final amount. Gunther Anderson |
