Sorry, Graham - your post to me did not show up. I just happened to catch
it because a couple of posters replied.

No - LOL - I haven't decided about the French press! At this point, all the
opinions have left me thoroughly confused. As far as I can sort it out,
I'll get coffee that's cooled down, is oily and muddy with bits floating,
and have to dispose of the grounds. Mustn't flush them down the sink since
we have our own septic system. Decisions, decisions. <G>

Tea? Hmmm. I seem to remember a thread on another newsgroup, don't you?
Add the milk first, then the tea; add the tea first and then the milk; don't
use milk. Then there's: make sure the water is boiling; take the pot to
the kettle, not the kettle to the pot. Nobody has ever said, "use a tea
cozy" - that should start another thread.

Buy a cheap one from IKEA then, if you don't like the coffee it makes, use
it to brew loose-leaf tea.
