Oh, not like any hedgehog I've ever seen! They're bigger
than housecats. And no quill type things, just fur. Google
on the word groundhog, 3 pictures pop right up.

But a much bigger, fatter, chipmunk. Unless, of course, your chipmunks are
as big as a housecat. <g>

(laugh) I was thinking, if they have chipmunks the size of groundhogs
over there, I might consider avoiding Scotland. Groundhogs are like
really big rats.

Ophelia, do you have woodchucks?

Think of something a bit like a land beaver but a bit smaller and
without the paddle-type tail. I would guess that a big groundhog will
weight up to 10 -15 lbs, perhaps more. they remind be a little bit of a
ferret in the way that they move.

Hmmm. I guess he wouldn't have the answer to the age old
question: How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a
woodchuck could chuck wood?

none...woodchucks have no thumbs. They can't bowl worth a damn either as
they can't open the doors to their bowling locker to get their shoes out.

I was formulating a wiseass answer to you when a commercial came
on, behind me ... I whirled around, only to see a DIY commercial
about Chuck chucking wood! Ahhhhhh!

At any rate, Mr. Fromage, the question was IF they could.

(smile) nancy (can't bowl for shit, either)

Real Answer: He'd chuck all the wood that a woodchuck could *if* a
woodchuck could chuck wood.
