Default Roast meal for one

Thursday night, when I'm always home alone.

After light meals since Christmas and little effort, I felt like
something a little more tonight. The weather has turned chilly
(considering it's summer) so it's a roast meal for one.

lamb shanks
roast potatoes
roast onion
peas
gravy
mint sauce.

It should be cooked in half an hour from now. I started it off slowly,
giving it 2 hours altogether as I find the shanks can be tough if
cooked too quickly.

Last night's tea was a takeaway (take out) which we seldom indulge in.
The Chinese shop was closed so we had Indian -- lamb korma (nice),
butter chicken (horrid), rice and naams. It was excessively expensive
so we won't do that again in a hurry, $NZ30 for two.
