(for those that don't want to leave home to have a party)
Please join us here in the rfc chat channel, on New Years Eve, celebrating New Years around the globe. Bring your appetizers, real or virtual, champagne or other beverages of choice. And we will celebrate New Years as it becomes midnight, all around the globe! This will start as it becomes New Years in New Zealand, and end in Hawaii the next night. And we invite you to post recipes of the appetizers you make for the party. My son and his GF may even join us. I plan on a sedate evening in front of the fireplace sipping wine and champagne. I bought 3 different bottles of really good red wine that I've never tried before, so I'm eagerly awaiting the time I can sip them. The couple that is coming over appreciates good reds while my hubby holds his nose and pretends to like it if company is around. I have 3 different champagnes too: Shramsberg, Gloria Ferrer and Scharfenberger (the chocolate people). I also have the fixings for white russians and rusty nails, so anything can happen. Hey, it's New Year's Eve! I'm going to make that cheese fondue if it's the last thing I do this year! I wanted to make it for xmas, but circumstanses didn't dictate that happening. I will make a green chili quiche - because I haven't made one in ages and I will adapt a recipe from the South Beach Diet website; which I'll post tomorrow. -- Practice safe eating. Always use condiments. |
