Default Some gift advice please

Hello Newsgroup:

I'm looking for some advice...
I would like to purchase a gift certificate for a friend and I'm not
sure of the sort of store / website that would be appropriate for him.
He has been cooking for years. He is by no means a professional, but
his abilities are advanced enough that he has many special utensils and
slicers and dicers and such. Is there a store that caters to the needs
of an aspiring chef, somewhere between an amatuer and a pro?

Thanks for your time!

For online/catalog shopping, you might try this Chefs Catalog:

http://www.chefscatalog.com/home.asp...code=6W2GG2025

Put Gift Certificate in the search box. I get their catalogs but I've never
bought from this place and it seems rather pricey to me.

Williams Sonoma (ditto for the word Gift Certificate):

http://ww5.williams-sonoma.com/

Penzey's for herbs & spices:

Ditto searching... or

The Spice House

Ditto
