Default Bad Beans?

Can navy beans go bad between being made into soup on Sunday and being
eaten on Tuesday? The soup has been refrigerated the whole time during the
interim.

The reason I ask is, I had a bowl of leftover soup today. Tonight, my
waist measurement has to be approaching 80 inches, and Crash tells me I'm
burping methane. It ain't pretty.

Is it likely the soup, or should I be looking elsewhere for the cause of
this? Whatever it is, I don't want a repeat of tonight's performance.

Thanks,
Carol, having "Goodyear" tattooed on her belly
