Ditto on the breadmaker. Fleishman's has a nice recipe book for
breadmaking. Now is the perfect time of the year to make apple bread.
It has chunks of apples in it with a nice mild spicy flavour. If you
want the recipe, I can post it for you. I make more tomato bread this
time of year too just by adding cherry tomatoes and fresh basil to a
basic white bread recipe. This is out of necessity since my plants are
overflowing in tomatoes!

I've had a Salton yogurt maker for years. It's the kind with the little
jars. I use it quite a bit.

My number one favourite small kitchen gadget is a small handheld rotary
cheese grater that I use mainly for grating parmesan cheese. My number
one favourite large kitchen gadget is my 22 L Mirro pressure canner.
The number one gadget I would never buy is an electric can opener. I
went through a couple of them before buying a good hand operated one.
