Default Nationalities poll

There seems to be quite a few posters here that get their knickers in a knot
when an American poster refers to a food, spice, currency, quantity, or
location that doesn't identify his country of origin. I, myself have been
the victim on occasion. I have had to (gasp!) type a store name into Google
to find out its location! On that note, I invite any and all to post the
name of the country from which tou are posting. I'll be first.

The problem is that for many of us the "food experience" may be all over the
nation(s) and a local reference is very limiting.

As Example: Name the cities or places you have Food experience.

I'm a Native Californian living in So Cal.

If you narrow "food experience" down to, for example, "grocery shopping and
cooking at home within the past year or so," the list of places can narrow
down considerably.

Alas, Terry, I only moved to AZ in 2000, but I do love the rocks and scrubby
vegetation! <g> We spent the first three years down in Queen Creek at the
foot of the SanTan Mountains, but a 67 mile one-way drive to work wore pretty
thin. We're now 36 miles from work, and I expect that we'll probably move
closer to the city before it's over. I do miss the raw desert we enjoyed
down in Queen Creek, however. BTW, I was born in Long Beach, CA, but my
family moved to the midwest before I was walking. Still, I'm a native
Californian. Looks like we traded places! <g>

Nope, I think that you've got this weirdly named place confused with
a town in Pa. named Punxsutawney. That's where the lil' rodent named
Phil is kept.

No, no, no, no. It's Punxatawney, PA! Not Poughkeepsie,
NY. Sheesh. Better watch the movie again. ;-)
