Default PING: Jill McQuown re soups

Jill, the following is a pretty interesting little article, especially when
you learn about the writer ( know you're familiar with the site). This
appeared in a newspaper insert:

"About 15 years ago, I started compiling soup recipes, mostly from my
favorite books, but I eventually shelved the loose-leaf book to focus on my
job at the FBI. Later, I took a course about the Internet. For one
project, I had to create a Web site, so I dusted off my recipes and built a
better home for them.

"Word spread about my soup site and people started asking about everything
from broths to stews. Eventually my boss heard about it, too, and offered
me the chance to run the FBI Web site. Now, by day, I post information to
keep people safe, and by night I offer 473 soup recipes to keep them warm.

Footnote:

"Pat Solley, the chief of online/print media operations for FBI public
affairs, is the author of An Exaltation of Soups. She also runs
www.soupsong.com, which features recipes from around the world."
