Adoption Dream, Please help with $1
We are a happily married and loving 30 and 27 year old husband and wife
living in NW Indiana. Our dream is to adopt a child, but we have not been able to due to the incredible and unforseen expenses. Currently, we have a small savings or as we call it "Adoption Fund" but we need so much more to even get the process started. We are realizing that adoption travel expenses and taking time off work for adoption related issues would exhaust most of our current "adoption fund". Please help our dream come true by sending a gift of a $1.00 bill to: Ben & Catie Rose PO Box 497 Knox, IN 46534 To prevent theft, please wrap your one dollar bill in a sheet of paper. Also, any advice, suggestions, stories or tips you would like to share with us would be greatly appreciated! Chinese girl babies are often MUCH cheaper than russian orphans. I wish I was kidding about this, but I'm not. I've checked into it. Good luck! raising a child is not exactly cheap either and if you have to work day and
night your excitement about the child might cease soon. perhaps you can do some good to your friends children instead of struggling to get an adopted and then to raise that. good luck. Now, I can afford them but I'm just too old, being a trollop at 37, I think. I don't understand how some people HAVE to have kids and go through countless procedures and spend tons on adoptions. But, what the hey, they can do it if they want. I hope their kids become cherished and not spoiled like some kids I am related to. But these people, from their post, seem to not be able to afford the adoption fees, let alone the cost of diapers. They have probably posted at many other newsgroups. |

Had a friend, she got a baby girl from China after her brother and his wife had gotten one. Her brother died shortly after. I just can't raise up a kid. But, in my will, the kitties will be looked after well. Said friend became history when she came for a visit and we made an agreement: one painting for airfare to Florida. She got the painting but forgot about the airfare. I just can't forgive her for that, I was a starving artist at that time and she had a huge inheritance (sp). At that time, I really could have used the bucks or a nice visit to see her in Florida. So, she bought a baby and good for her. The baby would probably not have been treated well in China. But, I know my old friend: she will get a lot of mileage out of this. |

raising a child is not exactly cheap either and if you have to work day and
night your excitement about the child might cease soon. perhaps you can do some good to your friends children instead of struggling to get an adopted and then to raise that. good luck.
