Amen on that. I always want to see details of their delusions to better
protect against them.

> Note: this is required by their religions.

I never done this, but I always 'wished' it as Bryan would say:

Props:

1 - Coffee / tea - stained notebook with hand calligraphy using Unicode
pages from the opposite side of the planet.

2 - Empty butane lighter that WILL NOT light.

3 - Hand-made candle with encapsulated batteries wired to magnesium strip
wound round the wick, magnetic 'deploy' switch at base.

4 - Small super magnet. Can be wedged between fingers. (Do not store
close to the candle.)

5 - Hand-operated air horn.

6 - Lump of chalk. Pre-soak in ink to make it coloured; blue preferably.

7 - Leather bag. If possible with simple geometric motifs, &c.

Use a flesh-coloured bandage to attach the super-magnet to the interior
of your palm near where your pinkie is attached. Do this when you see the
JW's coming into your yard.

After you invite them in for tea / coffee and everyone is seated, ask
them if they are *serious* about religious discussion. This is also your
opportunity to discern which is the guru and which is the accolade.

When they say yes, with as much ostentatious decorum as you can muster,
use your other hand to open the bag and dump everything out. Nonchalantly
just move the notebook aside, grab the candle & air horn with your un-
magnetized hand, and grab the lighter & chalk with your magnet hand.

Really quick, (practice a few times previous), use the chalk to draw a
pentagram, plonk the candle in the middle, give the air horn to the
accolade. Just say: "Don't worry, you'll know when to use it."

Compulsively try to light the lighter. With very little over-acting on
your part, increase tenacity until the lighter is dropped.

When you reach down out of sight to retrieve the lighter with your 'free'
hand, be attentively aware of where your magnetized hand is and place it
close to the magnetic switch. The effect is best if your head is already
below table level. There will be a few seconds delay. (Test this whilst
manufacturing the candle.)

When you come back up with the bogus lighter and see the candle lit, just
say something like: "Okay, thanks, I guess you were telling the truth".

Act like you think *he* snuck a lighter out of his pocket and lit the
candle just to mess with your mind.

Bonus points if the accolade blows out the candle with the horn. It'll
give him / her an almost orgasmic feeling of self-righteousness to drive
off the demons.

The only time they'd show at her door is if she actually entered their
contest. I can't swear it, but I don't think she does so she's safe from
a visit from them.

Our community gates are open until 6 PM/ There are signs "No
Soliciting". I have a photo of one on my phone and show it to anyone
coming to the door. They usually just walk away.

There are signs like that at the entrance here. The gates are manned
24/7 and if you don't have an electronic pass on your car or if someone
didn't call in a guest pass you can't get in. Generally only people I
know come to the door (they do call first) and they aren't trying to
sell me anything.

I would certainly hope that people you know don't try that. Shaking down family and friends isn't good.
