No it's not.

https://www.nationalbreastcancer.org...-breast-cancer

But no one knows the exact causes of breast cancer. Doctors seldom know
why one woman develops breast cancer and another doesnt, and most women
who have breast cancer will never be able to pinpoint an exact cause.
What we do know is that breast cancer is always caused by damage to a
cells DNA.

I can't say how the new Ford electric F-150 will work in the frozen North but it's certainly rocking the truck world. My guess is that it'll be the "killer app" of the electric vehicle world.

The air fryer is a convection oven. The difference is that the regular convection oven uses a fan to make a small oven act more like a larger one. The advantage of an air fryer is more efficient heat transfer because it's directing a large volume of air towards the food. The regular convection oven mostly stirs up the air to even out the heat on the food. I'm not saying one is better - just that they're different.

All 3 convections I have bake a bit differently. The main stove is
large and powerful and just gives a boost to distributing the heat
allowing me not to turn baking loaves and other items around for even
baking. The old Panasonic micro-convection, though it has a dial to
450F, never ever gets past maybe 350-375F these days. Good for a baked
potato type of task.

The air fryer, on the other hand crisps things no like nobody's
business, something my other convections don't do as easily or quickly
and without some play. Perhaps the small size, with foods being
relatively close to the heat source, has something to do with the
ability to get things crisp. Chicken, either wings or thighs, frozen
fries or onion rings, or as Lucretia said, coconut shrimp and that
kind of thing just comes out differently and effortlessly with the AF.

For the couple of years they were getting popular, I thought they were
foolish things, but now I am a convert.

Ford says they will sell 40% electric vehicles by 2030 - which is not so
far off.

Who will make 40% more power for our aging and faulty electrical grid
and what kind of power will it be with Xiden ****ing all over natural
gas and coal?

Make book on this - bird killing windmills that ice up and fail and
daytime only solar will NOT step in to save the day.

Also charging stations that take 30-45 minutes are useless for anyone
making a road trip, working delivery, or not charging at home overnight.

We're heading for ANOTHER major gubmint-conned "cash for klunkers"
disaster, but this time it will brown out the home power for the rest of
the sheople.

What say you?

I saw at least one manufacturer that was using infrared lamps for the
heating source.

Reminiscent of GE's failed "advantium" ovens for the home.

https://www.geappliances.com/ge/advantium-oven.htm

I say failed as in they do not sell many compared to regular convection
or microwave.

It was like that for me - my daughter and a grandson were all saying
how wonderful the fryers were so when I saw a compact one, I decided
to get it. Like you, I find it is slightly different to putting stuff
in the convection oven proper. I like that on when I roast a nice
piece of meat.

I tend to agree, Steve. My friends don't just drop by without calling
first (and vice versa). For all they know I might be getting ready to
leave for an appointment (or vice versa). I also don't feel obligated
to feed them or expect to be fed unless we made plans for it.

Friends calling past unexpectedly are my delight - I love to see them.
I'm glad I'm all done with 50-60s protocols.

We coould start with infrastructure improvements and employ workers at
the same time. But, you know, everybody talks about, campaigns about
it, but then there is no support in Congress for it. Thank you

My issue is with the term, "air fryer." They are mini convection ovens.
They don't fry. Frying involves immersion in hot fat, vegetable or
animal, even shallow immersion. The result is very different. One can't
fry in air any more than one can boil in oil.

Yes. It's an electric heating element, and a fan blowing over it.

I would not consider someone to be a good friend if they were not
welcome to drop by, and I would be able to drop in on them.

Oh, thanks. 50s-60s as in those decades. Not covid related as in
protocol 50 - face mask, protocol 60 - 1.5m distance etc.

If history has taught us anything, it is that people want to buy cars with the latest tech features. They want push-button starts, backup cameras, and touch screens. My guess is that piston engines are going to be as desirable as white-wall tires well before 2030. Gas engines will be seen as an archaic throwback to the past, in much the same way we see the steam engine. Piston engine technology whether internal, or external combustion, is pretty lame anyway i.e., inefficient. This means that we're going to have to build-up a power infrastructure/network in a hurry. My guess is that this means we're going to have to go nuclear. As always, 1 + 1 will always equal 2.
