I don't disagee, Cindy. While physical attraction is the first thing
you notice about a stranger, it's their personality that is long lasting
and the most important thing.

Dating at older age, the physical attraction is gone. Only good way to
meet someone now is to be in some group setting where you get to know
someone well. A night class at a college is good as are churches if you
want to do that. Covid virus has put a stop to all that for now.

In the past, I've met many attractive older women but most of them are
married. We became good friends (much to the dismay of some husbands),
but I don't go after married women...never. Those husbands needn't worry
about me just being a friend of their wives.

You're morphing the conversation here, Dave. Old women can certainly be
attractive unless they try to hang on to youth via gobs of makeup. That
doesn't work so well. It often makes things worse.

The talk was about sexually attractive. I would never describe any old
woman as a "babe."

You call them all "babe" because at that age you can't remember any
names. And they might not remember their own name anyway.

That is so true. I leased an apartment in an area of Memphis that
started out just fine. I'd been living there about five years when one
Saturday I noticed the woman who lived across the hall with her teenage
son had backed up a truck and they moved out very quickly. The next day
(I remember because it was Easter) I heard a commotion outside. Looked
through the peep-hole in the kitchen door and there were three teens
banging on the door and then they kicked the door in! I made sure my
door was locked and chained then went to my bedroom and called the
police. They arrived quickly and arrested the youths. From what the
police told me afterwards, the woman's teenage son had gotten involved
with some drug dealers and owed them money; these thugs had come to collect.

Things went downhill from there. Management didn't seem to care who
they were renting to anymore. The next people who moved in across the
hall WERE drug dealers. People coming and going at all hours of the day
and night. One evening I was sitting on the balcony after work,
reading, when the one of the new 20-somethings across the hall came
outside to sit on their balcony. He was very proud of his gun.

I called the cops about that, too. I was told by a detective in the
Narcotics squad they were already keeping an eye on those new neighbors.

I immediately started looking for another apartment far away from that
neighborhood and moved as soon as my lease was up.

You've got that right, Jill. I never have nor ever would date a woman
with red lipstick. That's just too oddball for words. Maybe for a
Halloween party date and she's dressed as a clown.

You equate use of makeup to use of too much makeup.

So Druce, do lots of your sniffees wear lipstick on their
buttholes? Rubs off on your nose?

Must be a thing in australia.

Mild use of makeup is fine. Bright red lipstick is not fine. Not ever.
