My wife says that a lot of her co-workers say the won't get the vaccine because they don't want to get inplanted with a secret microchip. 4 years of Trump has sowed mistrust in the fields of medicine, science, the news media, our intelligence services, the Democrats, and government at all levels - and America will never be the same again. |

As recently as 2015 there were news reports about the percentage of Americans who thought that WMDs had been found after the invasion of Iraq. G Dubya admitted to the press that none had been found. At least one article broke it down by media source and those who listened to FOX were way more likely to believe the old lie. |

I don't think that proves the media source lies unless they continued after it was admitted no WMDs found. It does show the average Fox viewer blieves what they choose to rather than truth. I have a friend, very intelligent, but watches too much Fox, OAN and such. She says she does not trust anything in the NY Times. As sensible and smart as she is with everything else, she is sucked into the strong right wing political news. I avoid talking politics with her. |

What's your explanation for the fact that Trump was elected in the first place? 30 or 40 years ago he would never have been considered a viable candidate. Cindy Hamilton |

They were covering President Biden's Inauguration. They switched sides because that's what they do. Only a few obscure "media outlets" bothered to film Trump as he boarded the plane to slink off to Florida. (I do have to wonder why they were playing the 'Village People' YMCA as he and Melania boarded the plane.) Jill |

A look at Republican hopefuls from 30 or 40 years ago, and what characteristics they had that made them fail the cut would probably be sufficient. Why did Bob Dole fail? David Duke? Pat Buchanan? Steve Forbes? One would think that if the Republican base were the same in 1992 or 1996 as in 2016, Buchanan would have done a lot better. (1992 might not be fair, since Bush I had the advantage of being the sitting VP.) Cindy Hamilton |

I spend a lot of time writing up a small paper to offer up my way of seeing things and then yoose guys just ignore it. The reality is that yoose guys ain't really interested in my way of seeing things - mostly you're interested in gamesmanship. I'm certainly not interested in yoose guys' point of view and I don't have no time for games so I guess yoose guys can just suck it - like the crybabies yoose is. :-p |

Mostly, they said he was a pretty good dancer. Of course, those were some pretty loony broads. The kind you run and hide when you saw them coming. |

Your simplistic view of things is simply not true. These guys ain't gap-toothed white-trash hillbillies. These guys are morally upright, self-made, successful, men. They didn't need any particular guy in the White House to be where they are now. I've given up trying to figure out why they feel the need for Trump to be president. In the end, it's not worth my time pondering over. |
