The house is probably worth well over $200K, especially with the new
100 year roof. His mistake wasn't replacing the roof, but buying a house
that needed the roof replaced to begin with, *unless* he got it cheap (under
$100K) *because* it needed a $125K roof repair.

I doubt that Bel Nor would have allowed replacement with architectural
shingles. My nephew used to own a duplex that had those Moorish clay
shingles. These are pretty houses, and they're scattered about the older,
nicer neighborhoods.

We're getting our roof replaced this spring, and even with top quality
architectural shingles it won't be over $10-11K.

All this reminds me that it's about time to get my second shingles shot.
I love vaccines, and look forward to when it's my turn to get the Covid shot.

No, but it could be if he worked for a few years at $35/hr.

That's not true Mr. (or Ms.) troll. He's employable, just not in health care.
Crazy ****er blew through that inherited money by buying a boutique house,
instead of a practical one, and now he says he needs a job. He should just
give up the idea of a health care job, and apply at donut shops. That's not
an unskilled job. He'd probably be paid more than I am per hour. I knew
John back in the old days, and while I don't want to reminisce about those
days, I value the truth, and the truth is that he could crank out a lot of good
donuts and Danish pastries, and I see no reason that he couldn't do that
today.

I don't understand John's mental state, but I really don't understand what
motivates anonymous trolls.

His illness may have gotten worse. He may no longer be able to fry
donuts. But he should *try* it.

It's age 66 years and 10 months for John's age group.
Without a job, I doubt he'll wait that long. Once he turns 62, that
lower monthly amount will get mighty tempting.

PS - don't do that, John.

Provided it is full time. Provided the contract lasts all year and he
has no downtime between contracts.

He's a gig worker. Luckily, he doesn't need health insurance
because he's a cannabis nurse. </s>
