I shop about the same as usual, no problem. Always wearing a mask. I
don't engage in long conversations when I'm at the store but then I
never did. When I run into oeople I know (at the store or outside my
house) we stand six feet apart and we keep the conversations brief.
dsi1 said he met his wife's co-worker yesterday, from which I inferred
he didn't know this man, and opted for an elbow bump rather than a
handshake. It's the idea of the elbow bump I find amusing. We're
supposed to stay 6 feet apart from strangers but it's become a "new"
greeting socially to bump elbows. I sure hope that guy didn't just
cough in the crook of his arm then bump elbows with a bunch of people.
Sounds like a great way to pass germs around.

When we get locked down by covid or a flooding of the roads, I always
make sure we have enough wine and cat food in the house.

We keep a good store of food, dog food and booze always) lol The
village is in the middle of nowhere and we don't even have a shop.

I can sense that from here.

Same here. I order certain things in bulk online. Half the time we
have to go and pick them up ourselves, because they don't all deliver
here, but still. One has to think ahead!

So, Ophelia, if your husband brought home a total stranger would you
rush to bump elbows with that person given that the rate of Covid is
rising? Or do you just enjoy kissing dsi1's ass?

Surely it is up to an individual what they do, or have done to them.
The woman I included with my daughter and SIL is lonely, whenever she
comes here she hugs and kisses me, I allow it because I feel for her
and her life.

Your own life could end anytime in a car crash, with cancer, etc etc.
Life is full of chances with only one certainty from the time you are
born, that you will die. So what if it's a little sooner ? You come
over here as a very lonely person!
