Default Walmart Substitutions

Each grocery delivery from Walmart has been different, so now I don't know
what to count on! I selected delivery between 6-7 pm. I kept checking my
phone and computer for an update. The update didn't come until 6. Very
annoying because this time I didn't get essential things, so once again, had
to place a small order at Safeway and hope they have what I need.

They did not have the peppers, celery, cottage cheese, paper towels or the
kind of ground beef that I wanted for the peppers. I had ordered some other
ground beef so just used a package of that.

They did sub yellow peppers for the same price. So I made out well $wise
there because yellow peppers cost considerably more. All but one were fine.
One had a blemish at the top but I was going to cut the top off anyway. It's
just... I really prefer green peppers for stuffed because of the firmer
texture. I had tried the other colors in the past as one of my friends said
a Costco Employee told her not to use the green. The other colors tasted
better. This was the first time my friend ever made stuffed peppers so she
had nothing to compare them to. I did try what she said but still prefer the
green. Oh well! Looks like what they said on the radio is true for this
area. We are having food shortages again.

The other strange thing is that I ordered a yellow onion for 38 cents. What
I got was a very large sweet onion for 48 cents. I'm not complaining about
that. I really wanted a sweet onion but the price was much higher than the
yellow. Much higher than the 48 cents I paid.

They are in the oven now. They look and smell good. There was a little extra
filling, probably because the onion was bigger than I expected. I made 10.
Won't have to cook tomorrow!
