Default Knackered after a baking session

We are having a socially distanced celebration of my granddaughter's
birthday tomorrow when she turns 18. (Gawd! where has the time gone?)
They like my baking so I made:
2 dozen chocolate cupcakes using a King Arthur Flour recipe (a
keeper!)
~70 vanilla sablés (Dorie Greenspan recipe)
20 tangzhong hamburger buns
32 cookies that will be turned into 16 alfajores tomorrow (with dulce
di lecce)
3 dozen chocolate chip cookies, a less sweet than usual recipe.
The surplus eggwhites have been turned into meringues that should dry
out overnight.
I am quaffing a modestly priced, Argentinian red wine to relax.
Perhaps I should have opened a more expensive one but the buzz is more
important:-)

They're lucky with you as a grandfather. Had I been the grandfather,
I'd have gone straight for the Argentinean!

Whew! I'm tired just reading your efforts. I hope you have propped up
your feet and kicked back while enjoying your wine.

I thought that horses got knackered?
Your baking exhausts me! I haven't done that kind of baking in the
last 10 years. Of course, you have grandkids that will eat it all up

True but it's also English slang for being exhausted:-)

They have hollow legs! I haven't done any baking for months due to
you-know-what. This celebration gave me an excuse.

OMG you're good, can't even imagine that much baking anymore Trust
you use Delia Smith's way to do the meringues leaving them in the
turned off oven overnight? Works everytime.

Your "nothing special" is likely "pretty wow" to most others.

Start with the good stuff first. Once the buzz sets in, switch
to the cheap stuff.

I've thought for years that if I had a restaurant, that everyone would leave with complimentary meringues, since there's no question that I'd have a lot of surplus egg whites. What the heck else are they good for?

Never tried this but perhaps a decent omlet could be made with
egg whites only along with plenty of veggies and cheese

I did but they didn't dry out. Strange because the oven was well
heated after being on for hours. They were an afterthought and like so
many unplanned things, they are not at all good and I will pitch them.
With planning, I prefer to make them with Italian meringue.

Thanks! I really like the tangzhong method. It makes a lovely, tender

Jerry Seinfeld often ordered egg white omelets at their lunch place.
He's such a SNAG.
