Someone who gets those produce boxes delivered gave my brother two full
boxes. They were going away and couldn't use it all up. Now I have a ton of potatoes and onions. Angela has the same. She took some other things. Not sure what they'll do with all the broccoli. Now... What to do with them? They are russet potatoes and yellow onions. I do have a pot roast in the freezer. I could get some more carrots and make that since our weather is turning cooler. I love free food! |

We're old fashioned, Mid-West eaters. Baked potatoes are always good -- lots of potassium other vitamins and fiber in there. Lots of side dish recipes. You can boil, bake and mash them Check the Web. Onions? I'd chop most of them up, lay them on trays, freeze them and then bag them. Otherwise there are a bunch of onion dishes that use a lot of them. Check the Web. Janet US |

The COVID people in Italy were sicker due to their high gluten pasta diet. Potato eating Germans got fewer critical complications.

LOL, Germans do indeed love their breads. They also do a lot of rice comparativly (sp?) to much of Europe. That one suprised me when I found out. I think it was Italy for number 1 and they were 2 or a close 3rd. |

Wallach. He's a quack. Germans are known for drinking gluten containing beer, and eating gluten containing foods like Spaetzel, breaded meats. bread, cakes, etc. |

A big plate of pasta is comparably a gluten gut fest.

Whoever have them to you got that produce from a food bank, they're not CSA boxes if they contain mostly the same stuff (potatoes and onions) and they're "full". They're "banana boxes", right? (you'll deny it but I won't believe you). CSA's don't send people a ton on of just a couple things. And they couldn't have collected that much without some of it going bad in the meantime. Unless it came from a food bank... -sw |
