Default Had unsalted butter

Bought for wife baking something easy on her hands and tried on rye toast then on my fave english toast. Butter sucks. 54 years to figure.

I guess it depends on how you taste the salt. I use very little of it
but unsalted butter is most bland on bread. For cooking makes little to
no difference but I always use salted because it is better on bread.

Unsalted butter does suck. I can see no reason for its existence. If I was king of the world, I would decree that all butter would be salted. Your taste buds work like a battery. No useful work can be done without the movement of ions/electrons.

Â* For table use I prefer salted - but for some recipes unsalted gives a
better result .

I've made some ghee with salted butter. The methods for making ghee specify using unsalted butter but once you remove all the water from the product, all the salt precipitates out. It's kind of a neat thing to see.

Your bloodstream keeps your blood's salt content very constant!

No need for salt in the butter!

Doesn't matter. I put so much salt on my food it's irrelevant whether
the butter is salted or not.
