I wish I was younger and still baking like I used to. There's a book
out that is very tempting

"Crusts"
The Ultimate Baker's Book
by
Barbara Elisi Caracciolo

The photos alone would be a spur to baking.

Maybe you've already seen it and have it.
I saw it in the current Costco magazine and had to look it up on
Amazon.

My shelf of bread books is already sagging in the middle. I don't
know if I can justify having it just for bedtime reading?

Alibris.

I just put the book title into Google and scrolled down until I found
something sensible.

I never pay full price for cookbooks. There are always second hand
book dealers who have review copies, at minimum.

I ordered Rachel Maddow's new book, too. I hear that it is cookin'.

Yes, I want that one too. She has such a facility for breaking things
down and explaining them. I wanted to pick it up at Costco the day
it came out but I didn't make it there. I especially want it my
husband as he wants to read it.

It is an extraordinary talent of hers.

I do a lot of political reading these days and one of my "hobbies" is
chatting with DH before Maddow comes on and seeing if I have come to
any conclusions about the day's news that make it into her opening
block.

I do not recall seeing it there, but I go less frequently than I used
to.
