But good grief, the store was JAM PACKED; children of all ages and what seemed to be bus loads of them. It dawned on me that it was 2 weeks before school started and they were all there with their parents buying school supplies. Tax-free week-end also ensured the stores would be mobbed. It would take a heavenly command for me to shop week-ends now as I limit it to Monday-Friday. Always several people in the stores but there are not mobs of them during the week. The only 'person' around here that wants me up by 9:00 is Pema, the cat. She doesn't always get her way. |

Only on weekdays early when stores NEVER get crowded. Also meals here are rarely planned. I often cook whatever sounds good at the time. And for those that complain about weekend shopping and so crowded? Try going at 6-7am when stores are almost empty. Stop being a lazy, sleepy turd and get out early. Get your shopping over long before the rest of the cattle show up to overcrowd any stores. |

You should go when they're > more crowded or you'll never get further than ferrets! Maybe you remember me saying that from years ago. Rather than being stuck at home in evenings for many years with young daughter, I would often take her to the beach on my bike, or to the mall, or just to a grocery store. Grocery store plan (and it worked well too) was to go grocery shopping around 7pm on Fridays or Saturdays. Why then? Met many single unattached women at that time. No dates planned so they just go grocery shopping to get out of the house....just like me. Same thing with evenings at the mall and on bike at the beach. I so loved raising my girl on my own but I didn't want to sacrifice all my prime years staying home every night. I found ways to get out and meet people and bring her with me. It was good times. ![]() |
