Not sure what she did but I had to look them up to be sure of what they
were. Not common to see in the USA but yes, have seen them. I've
never made or eaten one though.

They aren't all that popular here either. I don't remember ever seeing
them on a restaurant menus, but that are commonly sold in grocery
stores. We had them frequently when I was a kid and always liked them.
I used to buy them once in a while but as years went on the quality
deteriorated. I figured it was time to try making them. The first recipe
I tried worked out well several times. They were quite easy and the
results were great. Unfortunately, the batch I tried on the weekend were
a major disappointment.

I've not made them but they look easy to make.
