The same people who prevented my usenet posts with certain well chosen words
contained in them from appearing; but allowed them through if I sent exactly
the same messages with the words cut out.

This was about a year ago, and I find it rather sinister.

Do you really think Giganews censors your posts based on certain
words? That would be ridiculous.

You could try a post with lots of swear words. We'll understand :)

Are you saying it's dangerous to express left-wing opinions these
days? I don't even think the US would censor you for that, let alone
Europe. Left wing views are only a sign of intelligence.

Haven't seen any signs of it, think you are being paranoid there! Only
time I was aware of anything was in a local group light years ago
(Bush Baby was POTUS then) and one nutter had a sig line 'Death to the
President of the United States' - the rest of us told him it wasn't a
good idea blah blah blah and looked at our tv news one night to see he
had been arrested :)

It wasnt swear words I was using. It was words chosen carefully to attract
attention from anyone who might be monitoring; and it appeared to work.

And although I might appear left wing on certain political ranting groups;
most of that is an act wind right wing people up.

Im not particularly politically biased either way in that I hate extremes
of politics on either side. It just so happens that the right tends to have
been in power more often than not over the last twenty years and criticism is
seen as naturally being a loony leftie.

You have no idea what my views are. In common with most judgemental people
these days you make assumptions based on your own prejudices.

I seem to have convinced more people of my faux political leanings than I

Ophelia is not a Fruity sympathiser. For years she had me killfiled.

However, these days most arguments have become so abusive and polarised that
my once €śextreme€ť views are now seen as more eccentric than harmful.

You have no idea what my views are. In common with most judgemental people
these days you make assumptions based on your own prejudices.

I seem to have convinced more people of my faux political leanings than I
expected.

Does that make me the most powerful person on the planet?

I dont think NATO are hanging on my every word.

Russia's a thug state, not a communist state. That high-five with the
Saudi killer prince symbolised it well. I'd rather have Trump as
president than Putin.

I can guarantee you that Giganews doesn't read nor censor posts.
They have the FBI do that for them.

You're paranoid. Bordering on a lunatic if you keep it up.

FF, there is nobody "in charge" here unless someone has complained to your provider. Trust me,
sometimes posts just don't show up for no conceivable reason.

You are really the only one who can delete your own posts. This group is not monitored by any
entity who can ban a post before it is seen.

Don't be paranoid. Keep posting. I have seen several of your posts in recent days.

The only thing you don't want to do is directly issue a specific threat or threats against
a public official.

Presumably your evidence to prove my paranoia was contained in the part of

Brought here by Ophelia, what else did you expect?

For the benefit of Americans, "Fruitcake" is British slang for
nutcase/person with a mental illness.
