I found some lovely napkins at a yard sale. The cotton's a bit rough.

I THINK the stains in one napkin are from cooking oil - it was that way when I bought it.

What's the best way to clean it? Thanks.

Massage in a bunch of Dawn diswhashing soap and wait an hour, then
wash as normal. I've used lesser soaps and they don't work as well
on my laundered oil stains.

Yup. I massage in the Dawn and then throw it in the laundry hamper to marinate till the next laundry day. The key is letting it sit for a while.
