He only says that because he rejects everything that's different from
what he does.

That you're relegated to another room when HIM chooses what TV shows
to watch then your spouse lives like a self-centered single, and you
tolerate that oafish treatment. Are yoose so impoverished that
you're unable to afford a second TV... I don't believe that... it's
pretty obvious that HIM is controlling and you're ascared of HIM!

Makes it easy for her to make a quick escape when the time comes, which it
surely will. LOL

I think you're very close to being a recluse so of course you are frugal,
you can't compare yourself to NORMAL people. LOL

what you describe just shows that neither of you have made a
commitment to the marriage. You've got pretty much the same setup
that Kuthe does

There's no ball and chain on her. However we are besties, we have
absolute trust, and neither of us want's to live alone. We've been
happy together for almost 27 years, and both of us know that odds are
extremely slim to find someone new at our age... we were very lucky to
find each other... credit Parents Without Partners. And separetly
neither of us could afford our present lifestyle. When we met each
other's parents and they met each other we all knew we were a perfect
match. All we can say is that it's a shame that elderly parents pass
on, but we are blessed to have each other.

But you're not pinching pennies about who makes what and who spends
what and who has what in their bank account. To each their own, but I
find that rather off when you're married. I'd do that with a business
partner.

Dataw aside, this is a very rural area. Lots of people who live on
Saint Helena raise their own chickens. They don't have to buy chickens
(or eggs) at the grocery store. I do, so I can't control the price.

Well, in all seriousness I'm happy for you both. I definitely admire your
home with the beautiful wild life, trees, garden, etc. that you and your
wife have carved out for yourselves, so good for you in that sense.

I always keep one or two of those on hand just for snacks. Just
one half is a decent snack. I've always bought the supreme and
cooked as is. Never enhanced yet but that would certainly be
better.

DH really likes them for lunch sometimes, I always jazz them up with extras.
I buy the supreme too.

Not an outrageous thing to have on hand! I work 50+ hour weeks and
sometimes that fits the ticket.

I do not always have time to scratch cook.

Today though, I do. Started is 2lb french bread which will be made to
slicing toast bread. I'm looking about for what else I want to make
today.

Grin, I am but not doing more than having fun. To me, cooking is
relaxing.

Bread is really easy to make. Takes about 5 minutes of your own time to
do it with a bread machine then load it to a pullman pan to bake.

I'm very happy you enjoy it, Carol! I don't eat enough bread to bother
making my own or to buy a bread machine. I've baked plenty of loaves
from scratch in my life. It's just not something I enjoy doing.

No problem! I'm feeding 3 here so a loaf goes pretty fast.

Too bad I dropped the potatoes! Nerve issues to the arms and they gave
out at the wrong moment as I tried to shift the cast iron pan.

Eww. I would never eat them without at least extra REAL cheese -
they use imitation cheese. Here, I'll even beat Bruce to the list
of ingredients just for the fake cheese:

IMITATION MOZZARELLA CHEESE (WATER, PALM OIL, MODIFIED POTATO
STARCH, RENNET CASEIN, SOYBEAN OIL, VITAL WHEAT GLUTEN, SODIUM
ALUMINUM PHOSPHATE, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, SALT, CITRIC ACID, POTASSIUM
SORBATE [PRESERVATIVE], SODIUM PHOSPHATE, SODIUM CITRATE, TITANIUM
DIOXIDE [ARTIFICIAL COLOR], MALTODEXTRIN, MAGNESIUM OXIDE, CANOLA
OIL, ZINC OXIDE, VITAMIN A PALMITATE, RIBOFLAVIN, VITAMIN B6,
VITAMIN B12)

And then they throw in some "real fake cheese":

CONTAINS LESS THAN 2% OF: REHYDRATED PASTEURIZED PROCESS NONFAT
MOZZARELLA CHEESE (WATER, NONFAT MILK, CHEESE CULTURES, SALT,
ENZYMES, CITRIC ACID, VITAMIN A PALMITATE, VITAMIN B6, SODIUM
ALUMINUM PHOSPHATE, SODIUM CITRATE, SODIUM PHOSPHATE)

And then last but not least, some "almost cheese".

REHYDRATED ENZYME MODIFIED CHEESE (WATER, MILK, CHEESE CULTURES,
SALT, ENZYMES

Eww. How can you eat that shit!?!?!? ;-)

BTW: I get the Supreme, combination, or three Meat. Never the
Canadian ham, Mexican, or ground beef. Stay away from their new
stuffed nachos and pizza sticks - nyeh. And for pizza rolls, teh
store brand is 25% cheaper and better. Totino's pizza rolls are all
sauce now, barely any meat or cheese inside.

I finally bought and tried a "Wild Mike's" pizza yesterday.
They're on sale this week for half price...only $3.25 for a large
pizza (Supreme is 38.8 oz). Cooked 1/2 yesterday in the oven.
Added nothing so I see what I'm starting with.

Thick and chewy crust (which I like). The very bottom of the
crust turned crisp though so a nice crunch with each bite.
Toppings were generous and spread right to rim with only about
1/2" plain crust. Just enough to grab with hand. Not bad at all
and the sale price was certainly right. I'll buy again.

It also included a small packed of "italian seasoning" herbs and
one of hot pepper flakes. I added those before cooking since they
were included. And that's not all - also included a 3 1/4"
diameter round sticker with a pic of the 'crazy' fellow. lol I
can just picture some young party fellow named mike putting that
on his front door. heh heh

Here's the box. Hope this .png works. Flaky on this computer

And here's the sticker that came with it.

Looks like a good pizza but they always look good on the box. Mostly, it's a disappointment when you pull it out. I can't eat a pizza until my wife is off of low carb diet but it certainly looks tasty. I'll try any pizza weighing 2lbs at $3.25. OTOH, by the time it's offloaded the boat, the price is going to be around $8. I love that zany image they're promoting. Very hip!

I've low carbed for many years, I eat the toppings off a couple of slices
and leave the crust behind as a rule, that might be an option for her. I
think the best pizzas are Papa Murphy's take and bake, don't know if you
have them in Hawaii?

When the kids were here, they'd order pizza all the time. We don't do that anymore but I have been eating some meat a cheese rolls so that sort of like what you describe. We do have a Papa Murphy's in our little village. I had it one time. It's pretty good pizza but I'm afraid that I'm not going to get to eat any for a while. I'd say there's a 50-50 chance of the place going under before I get the chance.

Very true but this one was very tasty. This is a case of good
marketing/advertising. The box is what actually sold me. I loved
that crazy mike pic and tried it only because of the packaging.
Luckily, I also liked the product once I tried it. I'll be
cooking the other half tonight with a few ounces of mozzarella
that I've wanted to use up.

Actually, almost 2.5 pounds.
