What does a painter do with food that he doesn't want to eat?

Saw this in a local sweet potato bin many years ago. I didn't buy
this one to eat but to turn into an art project. Funny
one...looked like a duck(?)

Took it home and got out the paint and artist brushes.
I did turn it into some kind of bird and used shishkebob sticks
for legs. heheh

Here's before and after picture. Sorry for the tiny size but put
the pic on an ancient computer with 600x800 resolution and made
it small for even that screen. You get the idea though. It was
fun to do at the time which was about 22 years ago.

Cute pictures, and the two pics were a reasonable size on my system.

Good grief! How picky are you? I did not pull up any picture of
an actual bird to copy exactly. I saw bird shape and just painted
it as such.

Live near the ocean and plenty of ducks, geese, seagulls, etc
here. Don't be so picky...I painted a bird, call it what you want
and go eat some more hot peppers.

Geese mostly. The ducks do come through but don't really stay here.

There are plenty of sea ducks, duck hunting is very popular all around
Lung Guyland.

You live too far inland, Carol. Waterfowl abounds here near the
ocean. It's not the ocean but all the bays and tributaries
surrounding me. I've watched flocks of geese fly right over me
each morning this week. I see a duck family walk by in my parking
lot many mornings right in my neighborhood.

Backbay, VA is an arctic waterfowl wintering place and hunting
those is very popular in Va.Beach. Also, many have elected to
stay in this area year round. The population of waterfowl grows
immense during our fall-winter months with the migrations.
