Default I made panna cotta

I saw Clinton Kelly make it on The Chew and wanted to try it.
I found a recipe on epicurious. It is delicious and dead easy to
make. I had blueberry compote to top it. The Costco blueberries
I picked up this time are especially good.

My big fail was not noticing I picked up Fat Free Half and Half.
Grrr. What is that? It was dumb I even bought it since I have
light cream and milk at home.

Anyway, it's a nice dessert, the toughest part is getting them out
of the ramekin and that wasn't hard.

Is it as bland as the recipe seems to be? Three cups of dairy and
1/3 cup of sugar sound like a bland milky 'dessert.'

I never had it before and I wondered if it was similar in taste to
Bavarian Cream, I never made that, either. I really liked it plain
and with the blueberries, but people add other things to it. Clinton
had maple syrup in his recipe, for instance.

I only posted the recipe just in case anyone wondered, I'm not
suggesting anyone try that unless they have a fondness for the stuff.

It's pretty good like that, topped with something tasty, or it can be
flavoured. I tried to make it once and failed. I thought I would make a
cherry flavoured panna cotta because we had some cherry juice
concentrate on hand. As soon as I added the cherry syrup the milk curdled.

It sounds like it would be good, too bad. I'd like to try it with
caramel topping.

It's something I haven't made but wanted to since seeing Nick Stellino
making it, I saved the recipe you posted and will try it soon with fresh
berries.

The guy down the street used to make a wonderful panna cotta. He didn't use any cream at all. He used soy milk. How does one make a wonderful dessert from soy milk? How does one transform soy into something that's better tasting than cream? Beats the heck out of me. I've asked chef Raymond about it a couple of times but he's not spilling the beans. Everybody loves that stuff. That guy has sold the restaurant and is now traveling the world. Now I'll never know...

I love plain yoghurt (cows or sheeps milk). But I love plain soya
yoghurt even more.

Years ago I'd bought soya yoghurt for a vegan guest, and when he'd
gone I finished up the leftovers myself. Delicious! We've been eating it
ever since. I'd recommend anyone to try it.

Easy to prepare; stir a spoonful of Coco Lopez into a container of
pineapple yogurt, maybe a splash of dark rum too.
